“To me [Africa is Done Suffering] means that Africans both in and outside of the continent know that a brighter future is our responsibility to ensure. It means that we look at diversity as strength and not a problem. It means that the creativity of our youth be harnessed to solve our issues rather than expecting foreigners to do so. It means that we take control of the images that we wish to portray to the world about who we are and what can do. Africa is strong, and she is beautiful. Yes, there are many issues that will take time and effort to overcome. But Africa is done suffering; she doesn’t need pity, she deserves respect.”
